Selling technique?

I recently returned from a beach holiday, where we were sold to about every 5 minutes by the notorious “lookey lookey” men.  Usual sales patter from them included saying things like nice price, half price, lovely jubbly and of course lookey lookey.

Even if you said no or resorted to ignoring them, they still kept asking and coming round.  This made me wonder about the sales techniques we all use.  I don’t think shoving business cards in people’s faces whom I am networking with would work, nor would following people round until they said yes.

So if you are looking for new ways to sell and find new clients, then please just ask.
