Over the next 3 weeks, my blog will look at how to use networking for marketing purposes. We will look at :
Why you should go and where to go
How to prepare for a networking event and deciding what material you might need and
Looking at the importance of following up after an event
How many of you attend networking events to promote your business?
How many of you would like to know how to maximise the time and money you spend on networking?
In a recent survey I carried out, 86% responded saying that they regularly attended networking events. No one likes to do anything for nothing or to waste time, so if are networking already, why don’t you ensure you use the right ingredients to make a successful recipe.
Networking is a great way to have face to face contact with customers, potential customers, suppliers, potential suppliers as well as learning more about your competition.
So, where can you network? Within the Bucks area, there are plenty of choices for breakfast meetings, lunches, coffee mornings, dinners, speaking events and so on. For some ideas on where to go, try looking up Business Biscotti, High Wycombe Connections club, The Athena network, Thames Valley Chamber, 4Networking, BRX, FSB and so on.
Of Pinpoint Marketing’s database, around 80% of records come from networking contacts and around 80% of my business has come from word of mouth and referrals.
So what are you waiting for? Get out and start networking today!
