In last week’s blog, I referred to having and setting values for your business. These values have an effect on the perception your customers have of you. If your value is to offer excellent customer service, customers will perceive and assume that you will always answer the phone promptly and always respond to them quickly with queries, for example.
This week, I would like to follow on from this. If you have followed the blogs, you will have reviewed your business and its current status and you have set the values from which your business will be based on, so what next?
The next step is to establish how you are going to make your business visions happen, whilst sticking to your values?
Are you going to work on all aspects of your business yourself, or perhaps employ someone or perhaps outsource?
To decide which route to take, start brainstorming. Think about all the tasks and roles you have to undertake and note which ones you like and dislike and which ones you know how to do and which ones will cause you problems. For example, I am not a numbers person, so I outsource anything to do with my accounts. On the other hand, I love writing, so I enjoy writing my monthly newsletters.
You also need to think about the time and budget you have available to achieve these tasks.
