When is the best time to send an email?

There are many variations and options for the optimum time to send an email.  It is best to test out a few times for your particular company, but here are some general guidelines.

The most popular time to communicate with businesses is between 10am and 12 noon and 3pm to 4pm.  Avoid lunchtimes as people are less likely to be in front of their computers.
These times again vary as to whether you are emailing consumers or businesses.
Consumers tend to respond better towards the end of the day, from 4pm onwards.

The open rate is affected by these times, but the click through rates tend not to be affected, so as long as you send the campaign out on time, the response rates should follow accordingly.
